How does it work?

Final Round voting has begun in the Pet Calendar contest and continues through 5pm Sept. 30.

Cast your vote for your favorites. Each vote costs $2, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Santa Fe Humane Society and Animal Shelter.

The top vote getters in the final round will be featured in the annual pet calendar delivered with The Santa Fe New Mexican's print edition on October 15.

Support Santa Fe's Animal Shelter

A portion of the proceeds raised during Enchanted Tails pet calendar voting will go to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society to support the fine work it does for the community.

The New Mexican's pet calendar has raised thousands of dollars for the shelter each year.

Start playing

Getting started is easy. Just click on the tabs at the top of this page to start browsing the picture galleries of this year's entrants.

When you're ready to start voting, just click the "vote" tab. You'll be prompted to register - it takes just a moment - and you'll be given the option to purchase votes.

Once you've purchased your votes you'll simply click the entry you want to vote for and you'll pick the number of votes to assign to the entry. If you still have votes left over, you can choose another entry and assign votes to that one, too.

That's it. You can always purchase more votes during the voting period. Be sure to use all your votes, unused votes will not be refunded.

• Sept 16. 5pm: First round voting ends.
• Sept. 23: Qualifiers for the second round of voting publish in The New Mexican.
• Sept. 23: Second round voting begins.
• Sept. 30 5pm: Second round voting ends.
• Oct. 15: Calendar publishes.
